5 of absolute power. This power of choice to humans is granted by none other than Allah Himself. But once He has given this power He never takes it away, never interferes in this. Dear friends! Please refer to the Qur'an. It proclaims: “Thus it is: God does what He wills.” (3:40). It is a fact that He has absolute power; His Will and authority is unlimited; He does what He wants (3:40). On the other hand, when the Qur'an addresses humans it uses exactly the same root, the same word as it uses for Allah. Please pay attention! It says: “Do what you will” (41:40). In your world your will rules and in Our world Our Will rules. Whatever you want, you do. This is your freedom of will. Allah says to humans “Do what you will” (41:40). We will not interfere. In your own world you are completely free to do whatever you want. But you must remember this: whatever you choose to do you will have to bear its consequences. Dear friends! Allah gave us through revelation (wahi) some laws and guidance. Actually, what we call laws, are, in fact, also guidance. About this guidance Allah told us, for example, in simple terms that cyanide kills and water sustains life. Through this guidance He explained the right way from the wrong way. He did not force us to follow one way or the other way. He gave us His guidance and left us completely free to follow the right way or the wrong way. He says: "The truth [has now come] from your Sustainer: let, then, him who wills, believe in it, and let him who wills, reject it." (18:29). Humans are free to exercise their freewill as they wish and Allah exercises His Will as He wishes. This is a great virtue bestowed by Him to human beings. On one side it is Allah's attribute, and on the other, it is available to humans! Amazing!! To deprive humans of their right of freedom of choice and freewill is against the Qur'an Dear friends! After this brief introduction let us keep this Qur'anic principle in front of us: Any belief, any school of thought, any religion, or any system, if it puts a roadblock in the way of human's freedom of choice and exercise of his freewill then it is against the Qur'an. The Qur'an immediately confronted the religions of its time and challenged their existing beliefs that usurped human freewill. The Qur'an was a challenge against them. It refuted their beliefs openly.
