10 and they are indispensable to each other. Pharaoh cannot rule without the support of Hamaan and his army of supporters. And the foundation of their rule is provided by the laws made by the priesthood. In fact, these three are essentially one according to the Qur'an. Obviously, a poor and hungry person will think: why it is that whatever is available to a rich man's dogs is not available to my children! The priesthood provides answer: Stop? What to say of complaining through your lips you cannot even raise any issue about this in your heart. Why? Because this is your fate; this has been predetermined; this is written in your kismet by Allah. Thus you cannot question this, and you have to believe in your Taqdir as part of your Iman, as part of Islam. This belief in Taqdir was introduced as part of Iman by the priesthood. In fact, this belief in Taqdir was part of Iran's Zoroastrian religion. One already knows what kind of kingship was practiced in Iran. The same beliefs have been transplanted in Islam by our priesthood at the behest of the kings. There has always been collusion between them throughout the ages. The religious leaders bless the king to do what he wants to do. Obviously the religious leaders ask for their share for this help and the king is only too happy to oblige them. This collusion is based on shares. King's share is his (political) world and priesthood does not interfere in his rule; and priesthood' share is complete control in the religious world and the king does not interfere in it, and cannot change the religious laws. Among these, the most damaging is this belief in Taqdir. My dear friends: If you question this belief that a tyrant, or a dictator, or an autocrat who strangles humanity is from God, and that this is predetermined, then priesthood says: Keep quite? Don't you open your mouth?! God gives kingdom to whomever He wants, and snatches it away from whomever He wants. Whomever He wants He gives sustenance and whomever He wants keeps him hungry and poor. Who are you to challenge God? Everything is predetermined friends! Future is already decided by God, even the problems of husband and wife. Now let us come to a well-known tradition prevalent among us called 'Ijab-o-qabool' i.e., proposal and consent. This leads to a strange drama! Everything is decided before. The wedding party has come. The band is playing. Food is being cooked. Girls are singing. This is all going on. After all this, someone says: finish that thing as well, the 'Ijab-o-qabool'. Then the uncles go to the girl and ask her: Do you agree to marry so and so, son of so and so? If the girl is quiet in case she does not agree to marry that boy then the decision by the Shariah is that it will be taken as 'yes'. Job done! Now they go to the boy. He already came dressed as a
